I'm Karen, a seasoned software developer with over a decade of hands-on experience. I consider myself a full-stack engineer with a primary focus on front-end development. My journey in the world of software began with C# and SQL, alongside JavaScript and the now-famous jQuery. Over the years, my path led me through AngularJS, a touch of Azure, and eventually a deep dive into pure vanilla JavaScript and React. I thrive on challenges and possess a natural ability to adapt.

Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of contributing to a diverse range of companies, spanning from IT consulting firms to product-focused giants like Bizagi and Miro. I've even had the opportunity to craft web solutions for Google, working on products such as Google Assistant, android.com, and Wearables. I take immense pleasure in tackling complex challenges and delivering high-quality products. From writing code to collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams, I cherish every aspect of the software development process.

I genuinely enjoy team collaborations that bridge various disciplines, where I can contribute my ideas to create compelling and high-performance products. To further my knowledge, I pursued a Master's degree in Data Science and Project Management. Why both, you might wonder? The answer lies in my fascination with machine learning and artificial intelligence, areas where I aspire to make significant contributions. My interest in project management grew from my experience, where I found satisfaction in delivering value to customers and aligning with team members to achieve common goals. In the last 5 to 6 years, I've primarily applied SCRUM as my methodology of choice, finding it to be highly effective.

Beyond my professional pursuits, I'm an enthusiast of cultural exchanges, growth, and lifelong learning. In my personal projects, I relish experimenting with emerging technologies. Lately, I've been immersing myself in the world of artificial intelligence, with a special focus on the intersection of AI and music. In fact, my master's degree was centered around this fascinating field. I am particularly interested in leveraging AI to enhance musical experiences. My thesis, for instance, revolved around a recommendation model based on song covers.

Outside of the tech world, you'll often find me enjoying a good cup of coffee to kickstart my day. I have a deep affection for animals and nature, and I'm guilty of having a sweet tooth, with ice cream being my undeniable weakness.
